LAST NIGHT: KANYE WEST, MELBOURNE

About 100x better than the Big Day Out Melbourne performance only a few days before, which I thought was pretty darn good to begin with. Sneaky Sound System were dope too.

YESTERDAY: BIG DAY OUT MELBOURNE

OFWGKTA was ok, far too many kids though!! WTF’s with all the teeny boppers??

KIMBRA was funky as fuck. Think I have a mad crush on her.

Skipped Tony Hawk to see GIRL TALK, who was wicked as usual. He played a crazy set and everyone was singing along to Adele, Kelly Clarkson and other shit that you unknowingly know all the lyrics because they play it on the damn radio so much. The ending to his set was freaking radical.

KANYE WEST was fucking KANYE WEST. His classics were untouchable. Jesus Walks, Through The Wire, Touch The Sky, Gold Digger, Good Life (with Pretty Young Thing intro), Stronger (with Daft Punk intro), Flashing Lights… amazing. American Girl was a nice surprise. His new stuff was good too, but you just can’t beat his older stuff. Also, all that auto-tune freestyling and improvising went on for so long. You probably could’ve pumped out five more tracks if you toned that shit down Ye, haha! Gonna see him again tomorrow with Sneaky Sound System. Can’t wait.
